The Walking Together Project

In 2025, I surveyed some wonderful people about their experiences walking in nature. Maybe you were one of them!

This is where I will link the papers I wrote about the study which are published in academic journals, as soon as they are published.

The Walking Together Project was designed to explore the views of Australian Parents of Preschool Children with Autism.

Going for a walk in a natural space, like the bush or beach, is something most Australians do regularly. I wanted to make sure we found out about the experiences of parents and their preschoolers with autism.

Walking outside is great for your health, and can really help improve your mood, your social interactions and your creativity.

Supporting parents to go outside with their kids is not just good for kids, but for parents too.
